Strategically located in the heart of the municipality of Jardín, in the picturesque department of Antioquia, emerges an oasis of architectural tradition and modernity. Nestled on one of the last available plots within the urban center, this hotel stands as a tribute to the region's rich colonial heritage. The challenge of honoring local architectural norms and customs was the starting point for this visionary project. Inspired by the architectural gestures characteristic of the area, from charming baseboards to wooden window and door designs, every detail was meticulously considered to merge the essence of the past with the comfort of the present.
The result is a captivating central courtyard that evokes the grandeur of old mansions, where a majestic staircase pays homage to the iconic heritage church nearby. This bold inclusion not only subtly modifies the architectural profile of Jardín but also highlights the uniqueness of the project, elevating it to an unparalleled level of distinction. Internally, the hotel offers a refuge of tranquility and comfort. Each of the rooms boasts a private terrace providing panoramic views towards the church and central square, or towards the stunning landscape surrounding the town. Meanwhile, outside, lush vegetation, carefully designed with curazaos or bougainvilleas, adds a burst of color to the surrounding atmosphere.
The challenge of adapting 11 apartments and a basement to the strict regulatory requirements of the plot was tackled with ingenuity and audacity. The innovative use of a vehicular lift platform, the first of its kind in Jardín, allowed for maximizing the available space without compromising the integrity of the architectural design. However, beyond its imposing structure and impeccable interior design, this hotel is much more than a mere place of accommodation. It is a bridge between the past and present, a connection between the rural and urban, a window into the vibrant and bustling life of this charming Colombian town.
